1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Soko Afric, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you should stop using the platform.

2. Marketplace Role

Soko Afric provides a platform that connects buyers and sellers. We do not manufacture, own, or inspect every listed item and are not a direct party to every transaction between users.

3. User Responsibilities

• Provide accurate registration, shop, and listing information.
• Use the platform lawfully and respectfully.
• Do not post misleading, fraudulent, unsafe, or prohibited items.
• Keep account credentials secure and do not impersonate others.

4. Vendor Rules

Vendors must ensure listings are truthful, pricing is accurate, and contact details remain active. Repeated false listings, spam, abuse, or prohibited products may lead to listing removal or account suspension.

5. Payments, Fees, and Promotions

Seller accounts are free to open through December 31, 2026. After that, a KES 199 monthly shop subscription and any optional promotional or visibility upgrades may apply. Missed renewals may trigger a 3-day grace period before a shop is paused.

6. Prohibited Conduct

• Posting illegal, stolen, counterfeit, or dangerous goods.
• Using the platform for scams, harassment, or spam.
• Attempting to disrupt the website, bypass protections, or abuse platform features.
• Collecting other users' information for unauthorized marketing or sending buyer SMS alerts without consent.

7. Content and Listings

You retain responsibility for the content you upload, including text, pricing, and images. By publishing content, you grant Soko Afric the right to display and distribute it as needed to operate and promote the marketplace.

8. Suspension and Removal

We may remove listings, limit features, or suspend accounts that violate these terms, create safety risks, or damage the trust of the marketplace community.

9. Limitation of Liability

Soko Afric is provided on an "as is" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, disputes between buyers and sellers, or losses arising from user-generated listings or off-platform arrangements.
